New Tarot Course Starting!
A new 3-part course starting next week to introduce you to the basics of tarot!

If you were expecting my weekly wellness newsletter, don't worry! That will be out later tonight. Right now, I'm excited about a new course I will be teaching for the SheHive starting next Saturday, November 18!

Are you brand new to reading tarot? Scared of the cards and what they might say to you? Don't know what any of the cards mean and are worried you'll never remember all their meanings? Do you desire a welcoming, fun, and inclusive environment to learn more cartomancy (card-reading) skills? If so, this is the course for you!

Tarot: An Introduction teaches you the basics of tarot—what tarot can be used for, how to pick a deck, what "Major" and "Minor" Arcana are, how to interpret individual cards, what basic ethical practices are needed to read for yourself and others, and more!

Your instructor (Cheryl E. Ball; pronoun flexible<– hey! That's me!) is a practical intuitive and a professional tarot reader with decades of teaching experience. She/they/he/ze [ask me why all these?!] attunes the course for individual learning styles while striving for inclusivity, accessibility, cultural sensitivity, equity, and diversity in their teaching. Questions are encouraged, and practice time is offered in a low-risk, helpful manner.

The Zoom environment includes live captions, and links to presentation materials are provided for each class. Recordings will be available for those not able to attend some or all of the real-time event. If students need additional accommodations, please contact the instructor at least three days prior to the event, if at all possible.

This 9-hour course takes place over three consecutive Saturdays: Nov. 18, Nov. 25, and Dec. 2, from 10-1pm Eastern.

Individual drop-ins are also available. Each class includes instruction and question times, at least one break, sample spreads, and hands-on reading practice.

  • Course Price (for all three 3-hour classes): $200 total – a $25 savings
  • Drop-In Price (one 3-hour class): $75 each

MATERIALS LIST

Come as you are. Bring note-taking materials, if desired.

Students do NOT need to own their own tarot deck to take this course, but having one might make it easier for hands-on learning individuals. Online options for tarot practice will be discussed. Also, a discussion of how to choose a deck will happen during the first class, so there will be time to buy a deck in person or online before the second class period.
