What's Up with the Domain Name?

Instead of the long-ass "when-intuition-strikes.ghost.io" I wanted something shorter. I LOVE that this open-source publishing management system is named Ghost—perfect for a metaphysically infused site! And it reminded me of the time I told a friend, Melanie S., about my plans to write a book about being a professional house guest. Her eyes lit up, and she embarked on a story of the history of the word guest, which in some Proto-Indo-European languages has a relationship with the words host and ghost. So we started shorthanding references to that book as guest-host-ghost! Thus the slightly shorter domain name, steeped in serendipity (even as the etymology of those words may have changed, and we're doing more research on it!)
